Hey, guys!
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website. I hope you will browse around and learn more about my passion for art and filmmaking.

Let me share with you a brief overview of my journey.

I was born in Ohio but grew up in Pittsburgh and Upstate NY. As a pastor’s kid, I moved a lot. My earliest memory was my dad teaching me how to draw a cartoon dog on a moving box. From then on I wanted to be an artist. Growing up I had two obsessions; business and filmmaking. So obsessed that I did my English book reports on film books, and read business magazines during my lunch breaks. I started my first business when I was nine years old selling my artwork to classmates for a quarter. I had five employees to do all the selling for me.

By the time I was 16 I had bought a video camera and a video editing bay from Best Buy, so I could video tape and edit weddings for people at my church. That led to me shooting and editing video for church events and promos for local businesses. I have been a professional videographer for more than fifteen years, shooting promos, educational videos, and live events for clients. My work as been shown in North America, South America, Africa and Europe.

In 2007, I received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Studies from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. The summer I graduated I moved to Chattanooga, TN to attend Southern Adventist University to pursue an education in filmmaking where I learned to produce, direct, and write. It was at Southern were I got the idea that I could shoot my own version of Lord of the Rings by setting up a green screen in my garage. I bought the same compositing software the artist used in that movie, the now decease Shake. It wasn’t long before I discovered I had no idea what I was doing, so I hopped on a plane to Rockport, Maine to spend a week at Maine Media Workshop. There I learned how to use Shake with Steve Wright, who worked with one of my favorite directors Robert Rodriguez. On the plane, I read all of Steve’s books so I could ask him questions. It was one of the best weeks of my life. Now I use After Effects like a normal human being.

In 2012, I graduated from Full Sail University (FSU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Entertainment Business, and in 2014, I received a Master of Science degree in Creative Writing, also from FSU.

During my time at FSU, I wanted to move away from only shooting live events and try my hand at working in the film and television industry. This lead to my first industry jobs as a production assistance for some amazing shows such as, Catfish (MTV) and Long Lost Family (TLC).

Currently, I still enjoy working as a production assistant, learning as much as I can about production. On my own I continue to pursue filmmaking as a writer, videographer, film teacher, and hopefully, soon I will be able to add animator to the list of skill sets.
I've started my own blog and channel where I talk about all things film and art. Check that out at www.cinemawithceleste.com

Thanks again for visiting.
Take care,
